Gallery Standouts – February Review 2/01 – 2/16/12

Its a beautiful Sunday!  And made even better because I have had the opportunity to sit and drool over some gorgeous layouts in the Me So Scrappy gallery.  Today I’m bringing you a standout roundup of some lovelies that were posted earlier in February but not yet featured on the blog.  Enjoy!

Little Reasons Why by MamaTrish
I love love the way she documented all the reasons she loves her daughter. The journaling just touches my heart.  The titlework is adorable and the layout just screams fun!

Stuck Like Glue by Rachnmaddie
This instantly brought to mind a catchy tune by Sugarland and had me humming. Love the ink splatters, the fun photos, the playful feel, and the journaling.

Today by Tronesia
I am a sucker for brights and this layout blew me away.  Gorgeous use of the bold primary colors, love that torn paper background to keep a clean feel, and what a fantastic use of elements. This layout goes to show that a picture, even one taken from behind, really can speak a thousand words when combined with some great journaling.

Be Mine by Akizo
This layout has such lovely blocking and a full feel to it.  There is so much going on with the vibrant colors, the great use of wordart, and the mix of elements, yet the focus remains on the journaling and the photos.

Love Your Nose by Mirjam
I am a sucker for dog layouts.  Truly.  And this nose just drew me in.  But what I love even more is the super strip layering Mirjam has on this layout. She has combined a variety of ribbons and papers in varying colors and tied it all together for a cohesive look and a super cute title!  Fun!

The Best Part of Me by Mommy2boyz
I love the titlework on this…it almost seems double layered with the sentiment on top of the To The Moon and Back words.  Combined with the adorable photo that is tinted to coordinate perfectly with that frame and the sweet elements, it is a standout for sure.

9 Years by Doodlebop
Such great valentine pics to celebrate in the month of February. I love the composition and how she turned the top right one sideways to add interest.  The bannerwork is adorable and the journaling says it all.

My 1st Love by Allison Pennington
Wow.  Yep – that was my first word when i saw this layout.  The photo is simply stunning and I love the clusterwork, gorgeous elements, and touching typed journaling.

Logan5 by Kara
I love layouts that document a single moment in time and capture the essence of a child right then.  This layout is a reminder to step back and do that -she did a super job listing Logan’s loves – from chocolate milk to legos. And the layout capturing them is adorable with the boyish colors, arrows, and fun wordart.

G0ing Home by MamaBee
I adore the composition on this layout – from the bold title to the banner, painty edges, borderwork, and elements – it is delicious!  We don’t always have a super, beautiful, in focus photo to scrap, but we can still capture the moment in a lovely way with a great page that has journaling and flair.  By the way….isn’t that little baby hand too cute?

P52 Week 5 by Tanyia
This is awesome! I love how Tanyia has captured the essence of the week in this layout with big  bold photos, elements that complement the design, and a full third page of journaling.

Puppy Love by nikkiARNGwife
Did I mention a sweet spot for dogs?  Yep.  But I didn’t just pick this because of the sweet puppy picture (although it certainly drew me in!)  This is a great example of layering – with fun paper and ribbon patterns, paint, frames, wordart, and elements all combined together for an adorable layout.

Whew! I’m so glad I had the opportunity to view all these stunning layouts today.   Congrats!
